Villahermosa, Campeche and Chichén Itzá

I finally made it out of San Cristóbal de las Casas, since I kept hitting road blocks I decide to take the advice of my friend Teresa and use the toll roads. I headed out to Villahermosa using highway 145D and 180D. It was smooth sailing all the way, sometimes the toll highway can be rather boring, it’s just a point and go type of ride, no real exciting scenery.

From Villahermosa I headed east to the city of Campeche. Along the way I got my first look at the Gulf of Mexico!

The next morning I head to Chichén Itzá. This is an amazing place, if you visit this part of Mexico you really need to visit this place.
